Purpose

This dashboard summarises bus ticketing, route master and vehicle-tracking data supplied by the operator. It is an analytical aid for planning and monitoring. It is not an audited financial, statutory or safety record, and it is not a substitute for the operator's own accounts.

Data accuracy

  • Figures are only as complete and correct as the source data. Missing, late or mis-keyed tickets, routes, stops or vehicles change the results.
  • Data-quality checks flag known gaps; a metric that cannot be computed honestly is shown as “—” rather than estimated.
  • Past dates can change when source data is corrected or the dataset is rebuilt.

Estimates and assumptions

  • Vehicle capacity. Where the operator has not supplied seats per bus, load factor assumes a default capacity; affected figures are marked.
  • Distances. Where a ticket has no fare-stage distance, it is estimated along the route's stop sequence and scaled to the route length.
  • Vehicle-km. Ticket-based vehicle-km uses route length × trips with at least one ticket. GPS-based figures cover only the bus-days with tracking data, and their coverage is shown.
  • Trip times and speed. Where the source records no trip end, speed is not computed from ticket times.
  • Benchmarks (load-factor bands, km per bus per day, headway levels of service) are general planning references, not targets validated for any particular city.

No warranty

The dashboard is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Decisions on fares, schedules, contracts or staffing should be checked against the operator's source records. TSU, CRDF is not liable for loss arising from reliance on figures shown here.
